Polyester outdoor fabric is made with 600D 100% solution dyed polyester yarns with a clear PU back coating. This PU coating enable the material excellent water proof performance. This material is commonly used for a variety of outdoor applications. Its rugged urethane coated polyester fabric is easy to clean, features abrasion resistance and environmentally friendly. Polyester outdoor fabric is a popular, economical choice for applications including marine tops, trailer covers, gazebos, canopies and tarps. This 600 denier fabric is also often used for manufacturing playground equipment covers, BBQ grill covers, and patio furniture. Manufactured by Duletai New Material, Polyester outdoor fabric is 290g per square meter. It is characterized by excellent strength, durability, water resistance, tear resistance, dimensional stability, and UV resistance while having great color fastness along with no color rub off.
The Solution-Dying Process
Polyester is a synthetic fabric that begins as a polymer melt in liquid form. This liquid undergoes polymerization to create long fibers, or threads. The fibers are then spun together to form a strong, durable material. When a material is marked as “solution-dyed”, this means that the color for the finished product was added during this liquid stage. After the color is mixed into the polymer melt, it is cooled and spun as usual. This allows the color to be completely integrated into the material, resulting in a more vibrant and long-lasting color. When exposed to intense sunlight and other weather conditions, solution-dyed materials will retain their color and strength for a longer period of time. This makes them have excellent fade and stain-resistance, as well as great durability. Solution-dyed material is also eco-friendly, as no water is used during the process and energy output tends to be less. Stock-dyed material can use 1-3 gallons of water per yard of material produced.

Q&A
Solution-Dyed Fiber vs UV Protected Printed Fabric for Outdoor Furniture
he fading of fabrics, caused by direct exposure to sunlight can make a beautiful outdoor room or patio-setting look old and uninviting in a short period of time. It is important to understand what type of fabrics to buy for this special area of your home, and to know what the best fabric is for outdoor patio furniture or throw pillows for this outdoor environment.
Solution-dyed (or pigment-dyed) acrylic and polyester fibers are the ideal fabrics for UV resistance to sunlight. These fabrics are produced using fibers that are put through a special wet-spinning process in which the color pigment is injected into the structure of the fiber itself during the fiber production. Once the fiber is twisted into a yarn and then woven into a fabric, the color is permanent for the life of the fabric, and does not fade when exposed to UV rays. Therefore, these fabrics are ideally suited for use in outdoor furniture.
Printed Outdoor Fabrics are also sold for use in outdoor settings. These fabrics are finished with a UV-protective finish during the fabric manufacturing process that gives the fabric UV-resistance against fading from direct sunlight. However, these finishes are not permanent for the life of the fabric, and may eventually show the effects of the harsh rays of the sun. While these fabrics are less expensive than solution-dyed fabrics, they do work well for the budget-minded person.
How can a shopper distinguish the difference between these two outdoor fabrics? Identifying the difference is very easy. Since the color in a solution-dyed fabric is in the fiber, the color will be the same intensity on both sides of the fabric. In a printed outdoor fabric, the color is printed on the greige goods, which are usually white in color. Therefore, the color intensity will be vivid only on the right side of the fabric, with very little color showing through on the reverse side.
