TPU Resins differ from other “soft touch” materials because of its superior properties inherent in TPU. These properties include enhanced abrasion resistance, excellent low temperature impact strength, good tear strengths, and good resistance to oils, grease and solvents. There are many types of TPU, however, TPU can generally be classified into two main types, a Polyether Type and Polyester Type, each having characteristics suited to your specific requirements. TPU’s are very versatile and can be used across all industries, including Automotive, Sporting Goods, Wire and Cable, and Footwear. Clear TPU film is a ECO-friendly material, it doesn’t pollute the air while burning and incinerating and will be degraded naturally within 3~5 years under the action of humidity and microorganism after being buried in soil, so it is a good substitute of PVC products and a main-stream product for environmental production. It is high wear and tear resistance, excellent bending resistance, high strength, easy for vacuum forming&printing, easy for high frequency welding, good UV stability, excellent hydrolysis, resistance to low and high temperature. Clear TPU film can be extruded with polyester or polyether. The different base chemical changes the physical performance of the TPU substrate. For example, polyester TPUs provide high resistance to chemical and oils while polyether TPUs offer excellent flexibility and tear resistance. Polyether TPU substrates are hydrolysis resistant and ideal for applications with prolonged water exposure.

Clear TPU film features:
- Fungus Resistance
- Low temperature flexibility
- Excellent hydrolytic stability
- Resistance to weak Acids/Bases
- Recommended for applications undergoing medium to high stress
- Burst Pressure Resistance: About the same as Ester based tubing
- Polyether-based polyurethanes remain stable in water as warm as 50℃ (122℉) for long periods. Not recommended for running water over 70℃ (158℉). Water absorption is a very low 0.3% to 1% by weight, and volume swell is negligible.
- Demonstrate better durability than Ester material based products (around 5 years, versus the 3 years shelf life of Polyester based products, i.e. tubing)
- Moisture resistance for pneumatic application
- Highly elastic, wear-resistant,
- Anti-yellowing, weather-proof, oil-resistant, acid-proof, warping-resistant
- Anti-fungus, antibiosis, anti-static, recyclable and degradable
- Safe and durable even in severe environment
- Environment friendly
- Good hydrolysis resistance and weather fastness.
- No affected by oil, chlorine, sweat, cosmetic and seawater
- Smooth surface is advantageous to screen printing
- No losing elasticity in cold or hot environment
- Smoothly rounded edge keep your skin from irritation
